I am writing this as a tribute to my Wonderful and Loving Wife Maryann Walsh. Maryann and I were married for 43 years, having started our wonderful love affair in first grade. Both Maryann and I Attended the Overbrook School for the Blind in Philadelphia. Right from the beginning I honestly believe that we both knew that we were meant for each other, so we were truly in every sense of the word, Soul Mates. Maryann and I have 4 wonderful children, Thomas Michael Jr., Linda Ann, Mary Patricia, and Karen Marie. The four of them have brought us countless hours of joy and pride. Even as a child, Maryann loved the Christmas holidays, and it is this love for Christmas that had her devote herself to this web site. It is impossible to describe the excitement Maryann brought to this cabin. She would start planning for new and thrilling things to put on the site for people to enjoy. I lost the Love of my Life in May of this year. To have known her would have been to love her. She was the most sincere, loving and gentlest person I have ever known. As the song tells you, only She Could Touch my Heart that Way. For several years, it was Maryann's hope that somehow we could produce a program at Christmas time where we could play Christmas music. Maryann, I promise you that it will happen as a living memorial to you. Sometimes our language falls short in trying to express the feelings we want to convey to others, but again, for those of you who never knew My Maryann, please look around the cabin, you will know her by the time you leave. Her touch and gentleness pervades the entire site. Maryann would spend hours looking for stories, music, meals for people to celebrate the Holy Time of Christmas, and she never tired of talking about what she had found, you could hear it in her voice, and I am sure could see it in her beautiful face. Maryann, I hope my feeble words have at least partially done you justice. I have always and will forever Love you, So, I write these thoughts as a tribute to you, my wonderful wife, who I miss so very much. Visitors, please enjoy your visit to the Christmas Cabin, and take with you the spirit of My Maryann, return often and know that this web site was created out of Love. My sincere thanks to Brandon Smith, my very good friend, who worked with Maryann to develop the Christmas Cabin. God Bless all of you who took the time to visit.
