Hello visitors to the Christmascabin web site. Let me quickly introduce myself, I am the husband of Mary Ann Walsh, one of the co-owners and producers of this web site. Mary Ann loved Christmas so much that she and Brandon Smith decided to dedicate a web site to that most Blessed of holidays. Mary Ann loved to share recipes and stories about the different traditions associated with Christmas. I am writing this edition of the Trunk as a tribute to Mary Ann, who I lost to cancer in May of 2005. Last year, as a living tribute to Mary Ann, our daughter took over the writing of the Trunk, and her mother would have been proud of Mary's articles. On October 25 of this year, Mary gave birth to her second daughter Brooke, so I am at least for this time, filling in for Mary, because she will be kept quite busy by both of her daughters, Brooke and Paige. Just for your knowledge, Mary Ann and I have 7 grand Daughters, and one Grand Son, a real Blessing. Mary Ann and I were married for 43 years, and have 3 daughters and 1 son. You can read their tributes in the tribute section.

I thought that I would break somewhat from tradition, and offer a suggestion to the guys who visit our site by mentioning a possible gift for your wives for Christmas: Have you seen advertized the Hamilton Beech Talking Microwave? You can purchase it for under $100.00 at either Wall Mart or Best Buy. I think it would make a great gift, and hard to pass up, for the price. Just an early shopping hint for the guys. I will return to the traditional recipes and stories in the next edition. Thanks for visiting, and browze through our site, plenty of great ideas for your holiday enjoyment. See you next week.

Tom
