Hi this is Brandon, co-owner of the Christmas Cabin. I am sad to say that my dear friend and fellow site contributor has passed away Maryann and I launched this website in 2000 because we both enjoyed the Christmas season very much and wanted to celebrate it in our own way and hopefully provide some entertainment to those that might visit it as well. I can't begin to tell you how much of a joy it was working with Maryann. She was always full of great ideas, as you can especially see in the Ma's Christmas Trunk section. She would give me that extra push I needed when I would begin to feel lazy about updating the site. This website has been a major accomplishment for both of us and we both were very proud of it. I remember her saying, "Brandon, we really have done a very good job on that site." And I totally agree. I have known Maryann for about seven years, since I first got online in 1997. She was one of the first people I met online and even through all the years of changing irc servers, we've kept in touch. I had the pleasure of meeting her in person, along with her wonderful family on two occasions. And from the online friendship as well as the personal one, I could tell she was a real fighter, fighting her way through life and making something of herself despite all the hardships. But unfortunately, she lost her last fight with lung cancer and has been taken from us, But, I am confident that she is comfortable where she has gone and is suffering no more. Maryann's son, Tommy, has offered to help keep this site going and so we hope to bring some new exciting things to future visitors. To close, Maryann, thanks for the friendship, thanks for all the help you gave with the site and otherwise, you will be missed.
